On December 13, the Study in China—12th International Pharmacy Student Academic Forum (IPSAF), jointly organized by the School of International Education and the School of Life Science and Technology, was held at the Jiangning Campus Conference Center. With the theme Exploring the Mysteries of Life Science and Developing Innovative Biopharmaceuticals, this year's forum continued the dual-track model for both graduate and undergraduate students, attracting over 300 pharmacy students from renowned universities at home and abroad to gather and exchange ideas on academic innovation. The opening ceremony was presided over by Pan Rongjie, Vice Dean of the School of International Education.
Li Yang, Executive Vice Dean of the School of International Education, delivered a welcome speech, extending a warm welcome to the attending guests, faculty, and students, and briefly introduced the forum's significance as a platform for international pharmaceutical talent exchange. Li Yanguang, Secretary-General of the Chinese Higher Education Association for International Student Education and Management, addressed the forum via video message, acknowledging the university's long-term dedication and contributions to international pharmaceutical education and calling for strengthened cross-border academic collaboration.
During the event, the award ceremonies for the 2025 Jiangsu Government Scholarship for Overseas Studies, Nanjing Municipal Government Scholarship for International Students, China Pharmaceutical University Guobang International Student Scholarship, CSPC Pharmaceutical Group International Student Scholarship, and Guobang Belt and Road Talent Development Award were held simultaneously.
In the academic exchange session, Professor Li Heyu from the university delivered a keynote report titled From Protein Translation to Metabolic Signaling Response: Mechanisms of AARS1/2-mediated Lysine Lactylation. A roundtable discussion revolving around the theme From Gene to Tablet: How the New Generation of Biopharmaceuticals is Born was held, where experts, scholars, and students explored industry hotspots, exchanged ideas, and discussed pathways for innovative development in biopharmaceuticals.
In the afternoon, 22 students from the dual-track programs delivered academic presentations in sequence, while poster exchange sessions were conducted simultaneously.
Since its launch in 2014, IPSAF has become a flagship international academic exchange brand of the university. This year's forum further deepened academic collaboration in the pharmaceutical field both domestically and internationally, providing a high-quality platform for young pharmacy talents worldwide to showcase achievements and learn from each other. It contributes to the cultivation of high-level innovative international pharmaceutical professionals and injects new momentum into the development of global health initiatives.
